have this question that i don't even know where to start at...attachment in comment

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=8 and y=(-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plug in these numbers and they should be right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you kind of explain to me how it's done?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well i just did trial and error.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh..okay , thanks anyways ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No Problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

carl51 sovled it for me...but i really want to know how...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

r u there?

OpenStudy (phi):

I would find a common denominator for the fractions. 6 is the common denominator.

OpenStudy (phi):

mult the first term of the 1st eq by 3/3 and the 2nd term by 2/2

OpenStudy (phi):

can you do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

explain him better?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u give me these points phi?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wanna answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u have (x + 2)/2 - (y + 4)/3 = 4 now find a common denominator for the fractions, pick 6 then u get this 3 x - 6 - 2 y - 8 = 24 (1) there is your first ecuation now with

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x + y)/2 = 1/2 + (x - y/3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pick 6 again then we have 3 x + 3 y = 3 + 2 x - 2 y (2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

with (1) u get x = -5 y + 3 now use (2 ) with ur new x then u have - 15 y + 9 - 2 y = 26 u got y = -1 now use y = -1 in (2) u get x - 5 = 3 x is 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all clear?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i really like ur pic anime is awesome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry guys i had to go run an errand for my parents .... okay i get it now...thank you @XxPainWsxX , @phi, @cookies (me too i love that anime pic)....by the way this is a she (i just really like the boy anime pic becuz i'm working at drawing them)
