Geometry, please help!

Natalie is constructing a triangle LMN congruent to triangle QRS. First, she opened her compass to the width of QS and drew a congruent segment LN using a straightedge. Next, she adjusted the width of the compass to the length QR and drew an arc from point L. She then marked a point on the arc as M to make side LM corresponding to side QR. Which statement about side LM is true?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a. It is incorrect because the side corresponding to QR is MN and not LM. b. It is incorrect because angles MLN and RQS may not be equal if another arc is not drawn. c. It is correct because the point M can be used to draw a segment to point N to make side MN. d. It is correct because the point M will be exactly at the same distance from point L as point R is from point Q.
