What is the difference between constructing and drawing geometric figures? Give a real-world example of each.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And also could you help me with this problem too please and thank you. What is the difference between a defined and an undefined term in Geometry?

OpenStudy (ash2326):

@fayyy1 drawing is just free hand or using ruler, but if we construct then we get the exact figure we want. Here we use compass and ruler. Example in circle for a triangle. It's difficult to draw but easy to construct !!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhhh okay. I understand what you mean.

OpenStudy (ash2326):

Good;D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And do you understand the second question ?

OpenStudy (ash2326):

Let me think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The difference between defined and undefined terms is that the defined terms can be combined with each other and with undefined terms to define still more terms. These are undefined terms: 1.plane 2.point 3.line These are defined terms: 1.ray 2.union of sets 3.space 4.subset 5.set 6.proper subset 7.opposite rays 8.postulate 9.betweenness of points 10.bisector of a segment 11.midpoint of a segment 12.line segment 13.lenght of a segment 14.collinear points 15.complement of a set 16.coplanar points 17.disjoint sets 18.element 19.empy set 20.finite set 21.geometry 22.infinite set 23.intersection of sets

@lawrenceh123 good work:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ash2326 thank you and @fayyy1 yw

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know this one ? What is the difference between a defined and an undefined term in Geometry?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can someone help me on my question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In geometry, definitions are formed using known words or terms to describe a new word

OpenStudy (ash2326):

@lawrenceh123 post your question. Type it in Ask a question @fayyy1 Please close this, post your question as a new one. You'll get more help then:) Thanks

@ash2326 i did
