Solve. log 7 (2x^2 - 1) = log 7 (4x)

OpenStudy (turingtest):

since the logs are the same on both sides you can simply raise 7 to the power of both sides and they will go away i.e. you can basically ignore the log 7 part and solve for x like a regular quadratic equation
