What is the distance between points (3, 1) and (0, –5)? Round to the nearest tenth. 11.0 19.4 8.7 6.7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, we have to use the distance formula. So: \[\sqrt{(1-(-5))^{2}+(3-0)^{2}}\] \[\sqrt{6^{2}+3^{2}}\] I think you can take it from there. But square the 6 and the 3 first and then add them before solving the square root.

so c 8.7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean 6.7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, 6.7.
