Can someone tell me what this chart means?

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

sure but can you post it?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

This chart tells you what happens to the side length, angles, area, etc of a polygon when you translate (ie shift), rotate, reflect, etc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does it mean by identical, preserved, reversed, etc.?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

identical means after the transformation, the property is the same eg: translating a segment means that the length doesn't change

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

preserved is the same thing basically (it's like you "saved" it and haven't changed it or you kept it in its original form)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

the reversed means that if the orientation was clockwise, then it flips to counter clockwise

Thank you!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you're welcome
