OpenStudy (osuxbucks15):

Are the two figures similar? no yes it is impossible to tell.

OpenStudy (osuxbucks15):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for them to be similar the scale factor has to be the same..do you know what the scale factor is for the radii and the height?

OpenStudy (osuxbucks15):

nope

OpenStudy (wach):

Try making a proportion instead.

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

13.6/8.5=? 3.84/2.4=?

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

ratio of 1.6 so yes :)

OpenStudy (osuxbucks15):

do i divide them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the two quotients are the same then you're figures are similar

OpenStudy (osuxbucks15):

o ok

OpenStudy (osuxbucks15):

so they are

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@OSUxBucks15 yea you divide them As @alexwee123 said the scale factor is 1.6 so they are similar

OpenStudy (wach):

The heights and radii should be proportional, so set them equal: radius1/height 1 should be equal to radius2/height 2 Thus, 2.4/8.5 = ? 3.84/13.6 = ?

OpenStudy (osuxbucks15):

Yes i did divide the,

OpenStudy (wach):

Hurr durr I'm slow. Good luck :)

OpenStudy (osuxbucks15):

tyhanks guys
