How can you test for divisibility by 6

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Test for divisibility by 2 AND by 3

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ex: 36 is divisible by 6 since it's divisible by 2 (it's even) and it's divisible by 3 (since 3+6 = 9 and 9/3 = 3, which is an integer)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first it must be even add the digits if the result is divisible by 3, then so is your original number if it is even and divisible by 3, then it is divisible by 6.
