If the wheels of a train make 16 revolutions when it rolls a distance of 60 feet, what is the radius of the wheel? (A)8/15pi (B)15pi/8 (C)15/8pi (D)8pi/15 (E)15/pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so if it rolled 16 times in 60 feet, then every 1 revolution is 60/16, which equals 30/8. that is also the circumference. and the formula for the circumference of a circle is 2 pi r. so to solve for r, r = circumference/2pi
