What is the slope of the line 2x - 5y = -10? -5/2 5/2 2/5 -2/5 or none of the above ..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rearrange this to y=mx+b format where m is your slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

even at 2x-5y=-10 you can determine what the slope is. so long as you know the definition of a slope

OpenStudy (stephstar101):

2x - 5y = -10 -> given -5y=-2x-10 -> subtract -2x from both sides y=(2x/5)+2 ->divide both sides by -5 You should know where the slope is! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

make sure you completely understand y=mx+b; and definition of a slope and different behaviors/properties

thanks guys , but i still dont understand anything about graphing ... lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have you got a clue what a slope is? check page 24 and on http://finedrafts.com/files/Larson%20PreCal%208th/Larson%20Precal%20CH1.pdf but master anything that needs to understand about a slope http://www.purplemath.com/modules/slope.htm
