Here's my word bank : bacteria, viroid, virus, algae, fungi, protozoan, prion, helminthic worms My fill in the blank questions are: List two that are considered non-living: List two that may be multi-cellular: List two that are usually unicellular: List two that can be photosynthetic: List two that have cell walls:
Which do you need help with?
the whole list lol
I have my Microbiology final tomorrow and I'm certain this table will be on the test...I just want to have them memorized accurately.
What do you already know about these?
well, non-living should be: virus and prion. two that are multi-cellular should be: protozoan and algae. two that are unicellular: bacteria and protozoan??? not sure on this one at all. two that are photosynthetic: algae and ??? two that have cell walls: bacteria and ??? So, definitely the last three questions I'm not certain of
Sure. Let's define them first and then fit them into categories : Bacteria : Single-celled, living organism, with cell walls Viroid : Non-living, very small, pathogenic Virus: Nonliving, infectious agent, coating but no cell wall Algae: Autotrophic cells w/walls, either multi or unicellular, photosynthesis is possible Fungi: Eukaryotic organism w/cell walls, can be multi and unicellular, and photosynthesize Protozoan: Single-celled eukaryotic cell with cell wall Prion: Nonliving, infectious protein Helminthic Worms: Multicellular eukaryote, parasitic, living
I think you can work it out from there. :>
