so what did yuri do?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

that's what yuri did?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes Thats what he did but i have to figure out what he did wrong

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

Step 1: fifteen times b divided by fifteen plus one equals thirty divided by fifteen this translates to \[\frac{15b}{15} + 1 = \frac{30}{15}\] Step 2: b plus one equals two this translates to \[b +1 = 2\] Step 3: b plus one minus one equals two minus one this translates to \[b+ 1 - 1 = 2 - 1\] Step 4: b equals one this translates to \[b = 1\] are you sure he did something wrng?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes thats what im trying to figure out :)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

oh i see

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

you didnt mention \[15b + 1 = 30\] what he did wrong was divide 15 by 15 and 30 by 15. he should have divided 1 by 15 too \[\implies \frac{15b}{15} + \frac{1}{15} = \frac{30}{15}\] got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes! ThankYou:))
