Solve the inequality 6x − 8 > 4x + 10 x > −9 x > −17 x > 9 x > 17

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6x − 8 > 4x + 10 -4x -4x then becomes: 2x -8> 10 then you add 8 to get rid of one of the numbers. I chose -8, so 2x-8>10 +8 +8 2x>18 then solve for x by diving both sides by 2.. the answer is C, x>9
