A newly discovered solar system is found 600 billion kilometers from the sun. How many AU does this represent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I AU (the distance from the earth to the sun) = 1.5 x 10^8 km If you multiply 1 AU/(1.5 x 10^8 km) times your distance, the kilometers cancel out and you're left with a number in AU.

OpenStudy (shane_b):

In other words, it's simply: \[\frac{6x10^{11}km}{1.5x10^8km}=?\space AU\]
