Help please on algebra. need to write the equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(6+\sqrt{3})/(5-\sqrt{3})\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use rationalization: \[\implies \frac{(6+\sqrt{3})}{(5-\sqrt{3})} \times \frac{5+\sqrt{3}}{5+\sqrt{3}} \implies \frac{(6+\sqrt{3})(5+\sqrt{3})}{5^2 - (\sqrt{3})^2}\] Just try to solve numerator and denominator now..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Firstly solve: \[(6+\sqrt{3})(5+\sqrt{3}) = ??\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[30-\sqrt{3}+3\] ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How you got middle term as negative?? There all are positive values so check your multiplication once again..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah my mistake

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what you got finally for numerator??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(11\sqrt{3}+33)/22\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well Done..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks alot. its been awhile.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
