HI i have got an electronics project ,i have to make a circuit which is neuther too simple no too complicated example water level indicator,alarm bell,etc .Can you guys suggest me a nice circuit with diagram and components requires and other necessary info?i cannot make a pcb ,nor i am allowed to connect the circuit directly to mains,and the circuit must not be of high cost

also the circuit should not be connected directly to mains it may have a transformer etc

the project will be graded out of 20 u see i need full mark ,the circuit should be reasonably good and interesting :)
