OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

what is the best way to improve in mathematics?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just three things needed for it..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Practice, Practice and Practice...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ha ha ha..

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

serious answer dude :|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take it seriously don't go to my ha ha ha..

OpenStudy (ganpat):

lol !!!!!

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

My thinking as @waterineyes -----------Mathematics is a function of Practice. \[\int\limits {Practice}=Mathematics.\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An intuitive understanding of every concept

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i ask what is the best way to improve in mathematics and you give me an answer that fails in counting...how is that serious? /:0

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

/:) *

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not memorizing formulas

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To improve all you need is to practice..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

though you should still memorize some of the formulas

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

@lgbasallote can u improve ur math without practice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i practice a lot but it seems i only get a topic after the term :/

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

there is no other answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I barely practice, but I still improve

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

whenever i think im ready, people suddenly surprise me with problems i cannot understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What's the point of seeing thousands of combinations if you know how to solve every one of them intuitively

OpenStudy (anonymous):

See anyone need not to be memorize the formulas if you do 10 20 question based on that formula then automatically that formula stays in your mind..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

math is not a spectator sport

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i dont believe in formulas...my master always taught me memorizing is for the weak

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is what I am saying to you..

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

the other way to improve don't take maths seriously just play with it. @lgbasallote :) Just in the way this author plays. http://openstudy.com/updates/50137165e4b0fa246730399a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Practice makes you strong..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@panlac01 true, but not practicing doesn't mean not working hard

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Practice only makes you faster

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

lol quoting yourself @maheshmeghwal9 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

practice = builds reflexive mechanism = memory

OpenStudy (anonymous):

intuitive understanding = being able to derive the formulas = no need for rote memorization.

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

no no just giving u a way. u r not looking at its brightest part @lgbasallote :/

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

how can a dyslexic become good in math? like i have stated before.practice doesnt work for me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

intuitive = without consciousness... that only occurs when there is sufficient memory reflex built up in your brain

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

practice or no pactice..i magically become good in topics AFTER the term..i need to learn how to be gURING the term

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what? Intuitive means fundamental understanding

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

during*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My opinion is what I said.. Without practice one cannot take command over topics of Mathematics..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let us not start providing new definitions for what intuitive is @ moose

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

I think @lgbasallote the best way u can find urself becoz everyone is giving his way to learn however some can be applied on u too but the best way to improve urself is within urself Even after a long time u can't find the better way than urs. just concentrate on ur mind ;D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My opinion is: An intuitive understanding of the problem will allow you to solve it. Memorizing will only make the solving faster. in·tu·i·tion   [in-too-ish-uhn, -tyoo-] Show IPA noun 1. direct perception of truth, fact, etc., independent of any reasoning process; immediate apprehension. @panlac01

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You know what I mean

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

no need to waste time on this just hear ur conscious & unconscious mind @lgbasallote :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

stop arguing the words

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol okay I will stop... but you said fundamental. that word threw me off

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Whatever :P. This isn't the English part. This are the math part

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

lgba, "Stop Faking It" books - they helped me a lot. gave me right direction in math, physics and chemistry http://www.nsta.org/publications/press/stopfakingit.aspx after having that experience, i realized that if you STICK to one good book and seriously plan and finish studying it completely. you will learn stuff that stays with you forever.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

my only problem is i get good AFTER i get the grades for that subject :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@lgbasallote are you seeing what marleybrown is doing???

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

marleybrown?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why don't you learn the subject before you take it then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what I do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

He or she will post the question in your left side.. Just check it.. He or she is practicing nothing else..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Check his or her question.. On your left..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pdf formats for these stop faking it books, igba?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

@MrMoose im not that good :p lol i need a teacher's guidance. im too slow to do it on my own without prior knowledge or background knowledge

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have you seen this? http://www.khanacademy.org/

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

@waterineyes if you have never noticed i do that too...but like i said everytime i think i have gotten the topic already the teacher just surprises me with new problems i cannot understand @MrMoose i have issues with khanacademy lol
