Simplify the expression. 0.3x^2+0.4x^2-0.1x^2 I got 0.6^6 Is that correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Close. This is all about combining like terms. \[0.3x^2 + 0.4x^2 - 0.1x^2 \implies 0.6x^2\]

Think of it this way. x^2 can be thought of as a condition for something to be added/subtracted from it. If two terms have x^2 and only x^2, then the coefficients (number beside the x^2) can be added/subtracted. The x^2 however stays the same.

That puts it into perspective thank you.
