Can someone check my answer please? The figure below shows a triangular lawn labeled PQR. There are two fences, AB and BC. What is the total length of the fence AB and BC? 56 feet 72 feet 100 feet 128 feet
my answer i got was 128
o.o anyone lol ...its geometry :o
Sorry I took so long. Made a typo I had to correct. Triangle PRQ is similar to triangle PAB So PR/PA = QP/BP 120/x = 100/40 Now solve for x to get 120/x = 100/40 120*40 = 100x 4800 = 100x 4800/100 = x 48 = x x = 48 So PA = 48 Therefore, AR is AR = PR - PA AR = 120 - 48 AR = 72 So BC = 72 since opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal. Triangle PRQ is similar to triangle PAB, we can also say RQ/AB = QP/BP 140/x = 100/40 140*40 = 100x 5600 = 100x 5600/100 = x 56 = x x = 56 So AB = 56 Therefore, AB + BC = 56 + 72 AB + BC = 128 So you are 100% correct
lol its okay but thanks! :D
you're welcome
