help!, I have a bad problem with numbers, I have no problem doing operation with variables but if I deal with numbers I often break things up, for example last time I 'forgot' 2 - 1 = 1 , what can I do to remedy this?

please help, this is really bothersome, especially with matrices

I don't know a general solution for this but I often screw up calculations, so I use Python to set them up. As for matrices, I find it hard to do multiplication of 3x3, the trick I use is to place the second matrix above the answer and the first matrix to the left of the space for the answer. HTH

i noticed i do the same "Silly Mistakes" during tests and exams when: 1- i dont get enough sleep 2- under pressure (lengthy exam and short time) i also notices that something sweet before tests or exams really help, like chocolate

thanks for the advice, I'll try that trick next time @telliott99 , and yeah I have a history of trouble sleeping and absent-mindedness (maybe that is the root cause, I'm not sure)
