Mathematics 20 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

The altitude of equilateral triangle BEN is \(12\sqrt{3}\). Find the diameter of a circle circumscribed about this triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am getting \(16\sqrt{3}\) is that correct?

OpenStudy (rsadhvika):

correct i used radius formula s/root 3

OpenStudy (rsadhvika):

not sure how to prove it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. I briefly forgot that the formula for the side of an inscribed equilateral triangle is \(r\sqrt{3}\) which would've made this a whole lot easier...I ended up using a whole bunch of 30-60-90 triangles...thanks :)

OpenStudy (rsadhvika):

ohh i am trying the same and parallely googled and got that formula :P
