OpenStudy (cwrw238):

use the cosine rule 6^2 = 19^2 + 24^2 - 2*19*24*cos A where A is the required angle

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

rearranging: cos A = 6^2 - 19^2 - 24^2 ----------------- 2*19*24

Could you show me the rest? I kinda need a refresher as to how the whole thing works.

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

ok - you can use your calculator to work out the right hand side the result will be the cosine of the angle your calculator can then be used to find the angle A the key to be used is usually cos-1

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

i used the cosine rule which is a^2 = b^2 - c^2 - 2bc cos C: |dw:1343578102564:dw|
