MONEY PROBLEM 1. You put $10 of your money in an envelope. 2. I put $10 of my money in the same envelope. 3. I sell you the envelope for $15. Therefore, we both make a $5 profit! Repeat for infinite money. QUESTIONS: a. Will this actually work? (yes/no) b. Why or why not?

Parth (parthkohli):

Must be Troll Physics.

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

@ParthKohli Economics, you mean. :-p

Parth (parthkohli):

Troll Physics has those infinite money stuff, but it actually isn't true.

Parth (parthkohli):

How do I make a $5 profit? First, I put 10 dollars in that envelope, then I give 15 dollars to you. I have a 25 dollar loss, isn't it?

Parth (parthkohli):

Oh, but you put those 10 dollars too.

Parth (parthkohli):

So you give me 10 dollars and I give you 15 dollars.

Parth (parthkohli):

That is not fair! :-P

Parth (parthkohli):

So, this doesn't work as it's only you who makes a $5 profit(I make a 5 dollar loss).

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

@ParthKohli Yup, you got it. :)

Parth (parthkohli):

Heh ☺
