OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok whats the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Kemi15 what's the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the value of x rounded to the nearest hundredth? Type the numeric answer only in the box below. Numerical Answers Expected!

OpenStudy (osuxbucks15):

90 degrees eaquals 55, and 45 degrees = x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what does x equals

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rounded to the nearest hundredth?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok let me post the question again

OpenStudy (osuxbucks15):

forget everything i said i did it wrong

OpenStudy (osuxbucks15):

i did 45 for d wen its rlly 41

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok but you dont know what x equals

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (phi):

this is trigonometry, not geometry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im talkin geometry online class and that was one of my problems

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ask phi if he/she knows it

OpenStudy (phi):

to answer this you need trig. This explains it http://www.khanacademy.org/math/trigonometry/v/basic-trigonometry

OpenStudy (phi):

For your problem sin(49ยบ)= x/55 you can solve using a calculator, or type this in the google search window 55*sin(49 degrees)=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer will be

OpenStudy (phi):

don't you know how to use a calculator? or type?

OpenStudy (osuxbucks15):

do it yourself and he will tell u if it right or not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i dont know how to put that in a calculator

OpenStudy (phi):

then use google search window

OpenStudy (osuxbucks15):

what kind of a calc do u hav

OpenStudy (anonymous):

43

OpenStudy (phi):

you can solve using a calculator, or type this in the google search window 55*sin(49 degrees)=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

41.509

OpenStudy (phi):

round to the nearest 100th

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i put that ^^^^^^ in rounded to the nearest hundredth?

OpenStudy (osuxbucks15):

41.51

OpenStudy (osuxbucks15):

i think

OpenStudy (phi):

it goes tenths, hundreths, thousandths, look at the digit to the right of the hundreths if 4 or less, just drop all those digits if 5 or more, add 1 to the hundreths digit, drop all the rest to the right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok will it be 41.51

OpenStudy (phi):

in other words, is 0.509 closer to 0.500 or 0.510

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is 41.51 right

OpenStudy (phi):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thankssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss so much

OpenStudy (phi):
