let the number be x, 2-(2/3)x=x solve it.

but i not getting the answer i tried that way the answer suppose to be 12

I think 12 is not correct because two-third of 12 is 8 and if you minus 2 from it,it will be 6 not 12.

lets take price of spoon as x, then (4/7)x is the price of fork, 10(4/7)x+6x=41 can you continue after this?
