If the electric field in some region of space is zero, does it imply that there is no electric charge in that region?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

no may be resultant electric field due to charges be zero at some point in space...so it may happen that in the presence of charges there is no electric field ..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well thanks alot :)

OpenStudy (ghazi):

anytime...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Electric field will be zero when the net charge in that region is zero
