80,81,84, 91, 99, 50, 93, 100-standard deviation? I need steps on how to find this idk how to.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

first step is to get the mean

OpenStudy (amistre64):

after that, subtract the mean from all the data points

OpenStudy (amistre64):

square the results and add em up is next

OpenStudy (amistre64):

after that, you would have to know if this is a sample, or a population; if sample then divide by n-1, where n is how many datapoints there are if its a population, then divide it by "n" instead

OpenStudy (amistre64):

all that gets you to variance and standard deviation is just the squareroot of variance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you soo much!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

youre welcome, its a bit of work to do ... but those are the steps :)
