(-7x-5x^4+5)-(-7x^4-5-9x)

Since there are no exponents or anything multiplying the things in the brackets EXCEPT THE NEGATIVE we start with this: -7x-5x^4+5 + 7x^4+5+9x *Remember the negative multiplication rules Then all you have to do is add up all the like terms (i put them in brackets so its easier to see): (-5x^4+7x^4) + (-7x+9x) + (5+5) and you end up with 2x^4+2x+10. You can factor out a 2 and get 2(x^4+x+5) I hope that was what you were looking for. If you post again you should specify what you need help with.
