OpenStudy (swissgirl):

Is this relation antisymmetric? R, xRy iff \( x \le 2^y \)

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

I say this is antisymmetric but I am not sure how I wld justify my answer

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

What set is this defined on?

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

Real numbers

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

I don't think this is antisymmetric. A counterexample of \(x=1\), \(y=2\) should work.

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

We see that \(xRy\) and \(yRx\), but \(y\neq x\). Therefore, it's not antisymmetric.

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

hmmmmmmm

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

ohhhhhh i seeeeee

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

it cld be less than or equal to

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

okkk i followed idk i always misinterpret these symbols uugggghhh

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

lol :P

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

THHANKKKSSSS Its not soo funnnyyyyy like I this is ABC's and i cant even read it :P

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

You should see me with positive and negative signs.

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

Thanks :P I bet ill be back with more

OpenStudy (kinggeorge):

No problem. I'll be happy to help.
