Given a function f(x) and another funtion g(x). If f(100) = 2 and g(2) = 100, then f and g are ????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

seems like they are inverse of each other... f(100) = 2 or f [g(2)]=2 A plausible condition for this is if g(x) = f^-1 (x).... but remember that this is not a necessary condition but yet sufficient

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

this is sort of a strange question because it does not mean for sure they are inverse f(x) = 200/x g(x) = 50x these are not inverse relations but hold true for the question.
