A(x+3) + B(x+2) = 5x + 13 when x = -2 A(-2 + 3) + B(-2 + 2) = 5(-2) + 13 A(1) = -10 + 13 A = 3 when x = -3 A(-3 + 3) + B(-3 + 2) = 5(-3) + 13 B(-1) = -15 + 13 -B = -2 B = 2 does that help?
