Anyone got tips on how to stay with the class... As soon as I am introduced to a new idea, I take it to the extreme and then come back to the material and get kind of bored\confused... Seems like I should be in the Computer Science and EE intro class. Maybe that class portrays the material in a different way. Thoughts?

Details and practice. Think of how you'd apply that piece to your daily life, say tying your shoes or washing the car or cleaning the floor. Eventually it does become second nature and then when you go to code things, you can figure out where you made an assumption (or many) and fill in the gaps because you're used to seeing the world as a programmer/engineer.

This happens to me quite often. Taking an idea to an extreme is quite good. The main inspiration to get back to material , with the same interest as you started with, is with one thought " may be there could be more efficient way " Try that thought it works for me. When I started for loops, I could think of iterations only with for loops, but the moment I learnt comprehensions , you see how to make the code more concise with the same logical flow. Going ahead to learn more, give us the power to write beautiful code.
