Haley constructed the obtuse scalene triangle PQR as shown in the figure below. What is the error in Haley’s construction? She did not plot point P on the arc. She plotted two vertices on the arc. She did not ensure that side RQ is congruent to the other two sides. She plotted point R to the left of the perpendicular line.

you see that one vertex is at the center of the semi-circle. So, taking two points on the same arc results in two equal sides PQ and PR , each measuring equal to radius... This gives Isosceles Triangle rather than Scalence.. So, you can figure out the choice yourself now...

in the given figure, PQ = PR... So this cannot be scalene triangle, as A scalene triangle is a triangle that has three unequal sides. |dw:1343715982931:dw| So what do u think which one it could be ??
