can someone help me put this into a quadratic equation. The length of rectangular garden is 3 times its width, if the area of the garden is 75 square meters, what are its dimensions?

OpenStudy (anas.p):

Let the width be x so length will be 3x Now we know that area of a rectangle is length*width so..\[x \times 3x=3x^{2}\] we also know that the area is equal to 75. so..\[3x^{2}=75\]\[3x^{2}-75=0\]

ok thanks
