what would bd be called

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

angle bisector? It really depends...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

depends on what

Parth (parthkohli):

It may be called any of these: Median Angle bisector Line segment

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what topic you're on.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Angle bisector Perpendicular bisector Vertex Altitude

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Looks like an angle bisector to me though.

Parth (parthkohli):

Median is the line segment that bisects the opposite side in a triangle. Angle bisector is the line segment that bisects the angle from its origin. Line segment is simply a line of definite length.

Parth (parthkohli):

Yes, so it must be an angle bisector.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

those were my options

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what would be the perpendicular bisector

Parth (parthkohli):

No. It's the thing that @monokerous said.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

perpendicular means 90 degrees. Which one looks like it's 90 degrees?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But in this case there isn't a perpendicular bisector since both sides need to be 90 degrees.
