It takes approximately 1,480 watts of electrical energy to operate a desktop computer and its monitor for 4 hours. How many kilowatts is that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you come to that answer? I have the options A) Less than 1 kilowatt, B) Between 1 & 2 Kilowatts, c) Between 10 & 20 kilowatts, & D) More than 14 Kilowatts. the decimal conversion multiplying answer is 5.92. I'm confused.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 kilowatt = 1000 watts, so if you have 1,480 watts it would be 1.48 kilowatts so the answer is b

OpenStudy (phi):

B should read between 1 and 10 Kw (not 1 and 2 Kw)
