I think its A? Humans landed on moon for the first time in 1969. Which of these statements best explains why humans should continue to send manned missions to moon? A: They help discard some myths about moon. B: They prove all current facts about moon incorrect. C: They supress cold war between different countries. D: They increase human resistance to extreme conditions.

help! please!!

I don't like any of these options. Why won't the question let you say that humans SHOULDN'T continue with manned moon missions, at least for now? The moon is cool and all, but I think NASA has better things to do.

OpenStudy (wach):

I think we should make more distant connections across the skies of space. Let's review the options of this question : A: They help discard some myths about moon. - May be applicable, because it refers to research, which would be a positive. B: They prove all current facts about moon incorrect. - 'All' is too extreme, option doesn't make sense and refers to almost loss of information. Bad. C: They supress cold war between different countries. - The Cold War between the USSR and US ended already, and space exploration was a product of it, because it entails competition and conflict between countries. Bad. D: They increase human resistance to extreme conditions. - Human resistance to conditions = biological issue that cannot be solved by sending a few people to the moon. Bad.

OpenStudy (blues):

Not the greatest of questions. But in my opinion there should be manned missions to the moon so we can go on realizing the ideas of science fiction writers and dreamers. Couldn't resist.
