Which of these would travel the fastest from Earth to Mars? A: a strong magnetic field B: a ray of ultraviolet light C: a high speed electrical charge D: a longitudinal wave carrying sound

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all electromagnetic wave travel with same speed in same medium. In vacuum it is 3*10^8m/s. greatest speed ever known. A and B is the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B. I don't think a magnetic field could rapidly travel to mars, since it is formed and sustained by matter, which would have to accompany the field on it's journey, as does an electrical charge. Sound can't travel in a vacuum at any speed.
