its just a pyramid, whose base can be any of triangle rectangle pentagon hexagon ... any polygon
all sides rise up and meet at one point

so what about the number of a vertices is on more than the number of sides of the base polygon, would that be one?
thats right. that one extra vertex is the top one in the sky !!
