How did inventions in the textile industry affect inventors in other areas? Many inventors in other areas began working on new textile products because that industry expanded so rapidly. The rapid expansion of the textile industry led to a significant decline in improvements by inventors in other areas. Many inventors tried to adapt designs from the textile industry into their own areas, but because the industries were unrelated, they were not successful.
