Someone double check for me? (2a^2 + 7a − 3) + (4a^2 − 3).

Would it simplified equal 6a^2 + 7a - 6?

we can rename the variable parts to see the "like" terms if needed;

say a^2 = p
a = q

(2p + 7q − 3) + (4p − 3)

this might help to weed out mistakes
