3(2x-8)=36

Parth (parthkohli):

Hint: Divide both sides by 3.

Parth (parthkohli):

Why not divide both sides by 3?

mathslover (mathslover):

well u can do with @ParthKohli method too , it will be shorter

Parth (parthkohli):

\[ \color{Black}{\Rightarrow {3(2x - 8) \over 3} = {36 \over 3} }\]And then you get a short and beautiful linear equation to solve.

mathslover (mathslover):

\[\large{3(2x-8)=36}\] \[\large{\frac{3(2x-8)}{3}=\frac{36}{3}}\]

mathslover (mathslover):

@broderick365 can u solve further?

OpenStudy (waleed_imtiaz):

Divide by 3 on both sides... U will get 2x-8=12 now....... 2x=12+8=20.... So x=20/2=10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u can see here http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=3%282x-8%29%3D36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 2x-8=12??? @mathslover

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=10 u can see in dis link http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=3%282x-8%29%3D36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where did you get 6x-60=0 from

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@best.shakir

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anyboddyyyyyyy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
