It is time to let those creative juices flow and transform yourself from Investigative Reporter to Fireside Poet! As you read the poems by Holmes and Longfellow, we hope you noticed both poems have a common theme - death or the end of an era - yet their endings seem uplifting. Use this theme in your creation. You are to write a poem. In your poem, use the theme, death or the end of an era. Make sure to give your poem a title. Your poem may rhyme or not. The length of the poem should be from four lines to one page.
