What is the volume of a triangular prism with a height of 3 centimeters and a base that is an equilateral triangle with sides of 4 centimeters?

Use the formula: V=Bh. First solve for the area of the base. To do that, you divide the equilateral triangle in two, and then use the pythagorean theorem to find the height of the base. You should get about 3.464 for the height of the triangle. multiply that by the 1/2 of triangle side length, which is 4 divided by 2. you should get about 6.93. Multiply this by the height of the prism to get your answer- about 20.78
