At which of the following points during the carbon cycle is energy transformed from kinetic to potential energy? When bacteria in the soil decompose living things that have died When light energy is stored in a glucose molecule during photosynthesis When muscle cells break up food molecules to make the muscle contract When fossil fuels are burned in a car engine to make the car run
Do you know what kinetic and potential energy are?
The lesson taught thermal, radiant, mechanical, and a few others bu kinetic and potential aren't there.
If you take a ball and hold it up high, you're giving it potential energy. When you drop it, that potential energy is converted into kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is basically the energy that something has when it's moving.
So A.
I'm actually not sure. There's at least some kinetic energy being converted into potential energy in all of those examples.
Since it's the carbon cycle it's either A or B. I think A then?
