The graph of a system of equations with the same slope will have no solutions. Always sometimes never

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

which one do you think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Never

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

what about parallel lines, they have equal slopes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So sometimes...

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks !

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

if the two lines are in fact the same, then you'll get infinitely many solutions if the two lines are parallel, then you won't get any solutions so this is why that statement is sometimes true
