Simplify if possible: a^11/-a^5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can any body solve it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

remember when you divide numbers with the same base, you subtract the exponents, but here one of the bases is negative raised to an odd exponent, this means that the overall answer will be negative, so the solution is: \[-1(a ^{11} /a ^{5}) =-1(a ^{6}) = -a ^{6}\]
