Okay so I'm working on proofs with congruent triangles and I'm stuck on one of them: 3. Given: D is the midpoint of AC, angle BDC is congruent to DBA Prove: angle ABD is congruent to CBD

We got D is the midpoint of AC and BDC is congruent to BDA which both ar e given. We just need one more.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

BD is common and equal in both of them .... secondly AD=DC since the two sides are equal in both the triangle ...and both are right angled ... thus .. hypotenuse must also be equal ..as a result they are congruent by SSS property

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay thank you lots ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my pleasure :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so you are sayin that AD=DC are SSS right? r are those two different things?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

noooo .. they are the same .....AD = DC because .... d is the midpt ... sss means ... side side side property

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is all the three sides are equal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay i get it now ;)
