OpenStudy (waheguru):

Are these two lines perpendicular y=x+1 and y=-x+1

OpenStudy (ghazi):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to find slope of line in form y=mx+c m=slope 2 lines r perpendicular if m1 *m2=-1

OpenStudy (ghazi):

product of slope is -1

OpenStudy (waheguru):

Yea, thats true thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No they're not, their slopes should be negative inverse reciprocals of each other with a product -1

OpenStudy (waheguru):

What? So they are not perpendicular?

OpenStudy (waheguru):

But the opposite resoprical of 1/1 is -1/1 is it not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@waheguru you right,oops

OpenStudy (waheguru):

Lol, its ok
