I think that looks like a graph of a rational function. http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/Classes/Alg/GraphRationalFcns.aspx That link explains how to graph a rational function. I suppose we can figure out a way to do the reverse.

There's a cursor in the screenshot. But it's still not perfect, it is rising too slowly try 2 + e^(-2x)

Nope. I think the shape is right y = a + b exp { -cx } but I don't know a systematic way to do it.
